The Kerala High Court today suspended its earlier order for one month which set aside the election of Congress MLA Varkala Kahar. The Court in its fresh order said Varkala Kahar shall not participate in any deliberations or vote in any matter as a member of the legislative assembly. It said he shall be eligible to be present and sit in the legislative assembly and draw the fee and other perquisites due to him as a member. This was on a petition filed by Varkala Kahar against the earlier order of the High Court this morning setting aside his election.
