The Kerala High Court today restrained oil companies from charging higher rates for diesel supplied to the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation and directed them to supply diesel at subsidized rates.The Court passed an interim order in this regard on a petition filed by KSRTC.In its petition, KSRTC stated that it is suffering a loss of 18 crore rupees a day, after the oil companies' decided to do away with the subsidy on diesel to bulk customers.The Court passed the interim order after the Kerala government gave an undertaking that it is ready to compensate the loss suffered by oil companies, if the final verdict in the case went against KSRTC.
