The Kerala High Court today rejected a petition filed by the Inspector General of Police Tomin Thachankerry, praying to revoke the suspension orders issued against him by the state government recently. A Division Bench comprising Justice Thottathil B Radhakrishnan and Justice P Bhavadasan rejected the petition accepting the state government's contention that the suspension cannot be revoked at this stage, as probe is going on in connection with Tomin Thachenkerry's trip abroad. The controversial police officer visited some countries in the Gulf, without obtaining prior permission of the state government. He allegedly met some accused wanted in connection with some terror cases and is said to have offered them safe passage back home.
