The Kerala High Court today directed the State Forest Department to file a detailed affidavit within two weeks on the Pullumedu stampede tragedy that claimed the lives of 102 persons on January 14. A Divsion Bench comprising Justice Thottathil B Radhakrishnan and Justice P S Gopinathan directed that the head of the Forest Department personnel who was present on the spot to file the affidavit. The Court also ordered the Sabarimala Devaswom Special Commissioner to file a detailed report on the tragedy. The Court adjourned the case to the 11th of next month.
