The Chief Justice of the Kerala High Court Mr S R Bannurmath today retired from service.<br/><br/>A Full Court Reference was held at the Kerala High Court this evening in honour of the outgoing Chief Justice.<br/><br/>Justice Mr S R Bannurmath, who hails from Karnataka, took over as Chief Justice of the Kerala High Court on March 18, last year. He delivered several significant judgements and was instrumental in setting up the Green Bench to deal with enviroment-related issues and dispensed with the ceremonial silver mace carried by Judges. He also took up the initiative to make public the assets and liabalities of judges, thus making Kerala High Court the first in the country to do so.
