<span style="color: #222222;">The Kerala High Court today ordered the banned Popular Front of India and its State General Secretary Abdul Sattar to deposit 5.20 crore rupees within two weeks for the destruction caused to public and private property during the flash hartal in the state last Friday.<br />''<br />''The State Government and the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation had estimated that properties worth 5.20 crore were damaged during the hartal.<br />''<br />''In an interim order, a Division Bench comprising Justices A K Shankaran Nambiar and Mohammed Nias CP asked the state government to invoke the provisions of the Revenue Recovery Act to proceed against the assets and properties of the PFI as well as the personal assets of its office bearers, if the amount is not deposited within the stipulated period.<br />''<br />''The High Court said the PFI and its State Secretary should be arrayed as additional accused in all cases filed in the state in connection with the offences committed during the flash hartal.<br />''<br />''The Bench directed that the magistrate courts in the state should ensure that the bail applications of those persons against whom cases have been registered by the police in connection with the hartal,  the amount quantified towards destruction of property should be insisted  as a condition for grant of bail.</span><br />
