The expansion of Congress led UDF government in Kerala is to take place on Monday. Chief Minister Oommen Chandy had held detailed discussions with Congress President Sonia Gandhi and submitted a draft list of ministers to her.Congress sources indicated that nine new ministers are to be included in the Oommen Chandy cabinet. The lone woman MLA, Ms. P.K.Jayalakshmi representing Mananthavadi constituency in Wayanad is very likely to be sworn in as minister. Meanwhile, Indian Union Muslim League, one of the main constituent parties of UDF, has indicated that likely ministers from the party will be announced by tomorrow. The party has twenty MLAs in the UDF fold.
