Kerala Govt to introduce computer education in upper primary schools

The Kerala Government is planning to introduce computer education in upper primary schools from next year. Addressing the concluding function of State IT fest at Techno Park in Thiruvananthapuram, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy said that the government plans to provide IT education facility in all levels of school in the coming years. He said, funds will not be a limiting factor. Mr Chandy regretted that despite being on the forefront in education, Kerala is lagging behind other states in the IT sector.Last year, while Karnataka bagged 77,000 crores from IT export Kerala's share was limited to 3260 crore rupees. Bagging 85 points Eranakulam was selected as the best revenue district of the two day IT festival.
