Kerala Govt to convene meeting for reviewing state’s coastal security

Kerala Government has decided to convene a high level meeting of Navy, Coast Guard and state police to review security along the coastal area of the state. Chief Minister Oommen Chandy informed the media after the cabinet meeting today in Thiruvananthapuram that the Centre has extended all assistance to the state in arresting the Italian marines accused of killing two fishermen off Kerala coast last week. He said that the state government will take initiative to ensure compensation to the dependents of those killed in the unfortunate incident. He reiterated that the arguments of Italian authorities are not acceptable to the state government.
