The Kerala Government is planning to buy 335 mw electricity from the private sector to tackle the ongoing power crisis in the state. Making a statement in the state assembly, electricity minister Aaryadan Mohammed said that half an hour power cut introduced from last Thursday will have to be continued till supply from Ramakundam thermal power plant of Andhra Pradesh gets stabilized and more power is allocated by the Centre to Kerala. The Minister also informed the assembly that as of now the state is facing a shortage of 470 mw electricity.
