Kerala Government has ordered vigilance probe against Mr Srinijan, son in law of former Chief Justice of India, Justice K G Balakrishnan. As per the direction given by Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan last week, the formal order for the probe has been issued by state Home Minister on Thursday.AIR correspondent reports, after days of uncertainty on legal feasibility, finally Kerala Government has issued vigilance probe against Srinijan on allegations and complaints that he has huge assets disproportionate to known source of income. Serious allegations of corruption have been raised against the close relatives of Justice K G Balakrishnan recently. A Public interest litigation with the Supreme Court of India and another one with Trissur Vigilance Court are in place against Justice Balakrishnan . Mr Srinijan has been removed from the state congress party and Justice Balakrishnan's brother was forced to step down from the post of government pleader following the startling allegations of corruption.
