Kerala Government has decided to conduct a family budget survey to prepare new consumer index. This was disclosed by the Chief Minister Mr V S Achuthanandhan in a press confere at Thiruvananthapuram after the cabinet meeting. Prices for the year 2009-2010 would be the basis for the survey. Kerala consumer Price Index Revision committee would be constituted for the survey. The Chief Minister also said that necessary additional posts would be created if needed.
