In Kerala, Governor Arif Mohammed Khan has said, that social reformer and spiritual leader Sree Narayana Guru was never a follower of foreign tradition or culture, but one who remained steadfast in his belief in Sanatana Dharma and Advaita.<br />''<br />''He was inaugurating a seminar, "Sree Narayana Guru: the Prophet of Renaissance ", organised by the Sanathana Dharma Peedhom and Bharatiya Vichara Kendra at Calicut University today. <br />''<br />''The Governor observed that Sree Narayana Guru redefined the social role of a sannyasin through his unique philosophy of equality and universal brotherhood. He said the life and teachings of the Guru remain more stronger and relevant today than ever before.<br />''<br />''Anxious moments prevailed at the Calicut University campus briefly when some SFI students protesting against the Governor near the meeting venue,  breached the police cordon.
