<span style="color: #222222;">Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan today said that the State government had moved the Supreme Court against the implementation of the Citizenship Amendment Act without seeking his approval. <br />''</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He called it a breach of protocol and courtesy and further said that he had no issue with the State government's move  but being the constitutional head he should have been informed adding that he is not a rubber stamp. <br />''</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Mr Khan was speaking to the media persons in Thiruvananthapuram today in connection with his refusal to sign the ordinance to increase the number of members in local self government departments in the State. <br />''</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The ordinance proposes to amend sections under the Kerala Panchayati Raj (KPR) Act and Kerala Municipality Act in order to increase the number of members by one in committees and councils of panchayats, municipalities and corporations. This was planned to be done according to the population status as per the 2011 Census.</span><br />
