<span style="color: #222222;">Kerala confirmed 5,978 new COVID-19 positive cases today.  A total of 66,165 samples were tested in the last 24 hour. In all, 56 deaths were confirmed due to COVID today, taking the total death toll to 38,737. Bringing respite, 5,094 recoveries were also reported today. At present, 51,804 is the active caseload in the state.</span>
