The Kerala Government has decided to convene an all-party meeting at Thiruvananthapuram on Monday to discuss issues relating to self-financing professional colleges in the state. Chief Minister Mr Ommen Chandy said in Kochi the state could not agreeto the self-financing professional college managements' stance that it would go ahead unilaterally fixing fees for post graduate medical courses. Mr Chandy was speaking to media persons after inaugurating the new campus of the National University of Advanced Legal Studies at Kalamassery.He said the managements should refrain from adopting a posture challenging the Government policy with regard to self-financing colleges. The Chief Minister said directions had been issued to allocate five acres of land for setting up the proposed Judicial Academy at Thrikkakara.
