Kerala is celebrating the famous Aattukal pongala ritual today with the massive participation of close to 30 lakh women devotees at the historic Aattukal devi temple at Thiruvananthapuram. The ritual is restricted to women devotees and has entered the Guinness book of world records years ago for the sheer magnitude of congregation at one place.
