Kerala Cabinet decides to recommend special session of State Assembly exclusively for lawmaking

Kerala Cabinet has decided to recommend to the Governor to convene a special session of the State Assembly exclusively for lawmaking.<br />''  <br />'' The decision to hold a special session comes in the wake of the crisis arising out of the expiry of nearly a dozen ordinances Governor Arif Mohammed Khan refused to assent. The session will last for ten days.<br />''  <br />'' Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan termed the Governor's refusal to sign the ordinance 'unusual'.<br />''  <br />'' Meanwhile, the Governor said, he will examine if there was any emergency for re-promulgating the ordinances which lapsed for want of his approval by the eighth of this month.
