In Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram Bar Association has demanded the resignation of Justice K G Balakrishnan from the post of Chairman, National Human Rights Commission. In a resolution calling for CBI probe, the Association said that serious allegations of corruption against the former Chief Justice of India and his close relatives have tarnished the image of Judiciary. The association also urged Justice Balakrishnan to step down from the present post till he is proved innocent.
