In Kerala, the Ernakulam District Administration has banned the Freedom March organised by activists of the Popular Front in the district. <br/><br/>The march, usually taken out to coincide Independence Day, has been banned following adverse police reports against the organisation. <br/><br/>Popular Front activists were allegedly behind the chopping off the palm of a college Professor at Thodupuzha recently.<br/><br/>Following this, police had arrested a few persons and stepped up pressure against the organisation through out the state.
