The Kerala Legislative Assembly, today unanimously passed a resolution demanding the recall of Lakshadweep administrator. It also demanded immediate steps to safeguard the culture and livelihood of the people of the island. It is the first resolution moved in the Assembly after the second LDF government under Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan assumed power. Later, the resolution was unanimously passed by both the ruling and opposition.<br />''<br />''Chief Minister raised the opinion that the Administrator, who is challenging the interests of the people, with respect to their cultural diversity including those such as their food habits must be removed . Pinarayi Vijayan opined that various dictative measures by the officials in Lakshadweep threatens to uproot the existing democratic system . <br />''<br />''Opposition leader V.D.Satheesan pointed out the significant and massive human rights violations during the ongoing protests. He also demanded the withdrawal of all controversial orders by the administrator.<br />''<span style="color: #222222;"><br />''Leaders from other political parties including IUML leader P.K. Kunhalikutty , E.Chandrasekharan , Mathew T Thomas ,Mons Joseph and N.Jayaraj supported the resolution.</span><br />
