Kenyan torture victims awarded compensation

The Constitutional Court in Kenya has awarded compensation totalling half a million dollars to twenty-one former political prisoners who alleged they were tortured under the government of former President Daniel Arap Moi. Mr. Moi denied the allegations. The victims had described spending days in waterlogged torture chambers.
