Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan takes various steps to contribute in the on-going fight against COVID-19

<span style="color: #222222;">Human Resource Development Ministry has taken several steps to combat COVID-19 by taking preventive and precautionary measures in all academic institutions across the country.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">One of its key organization, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan is also playing important role in the ongoing fight against COVID-19 by converting school buildings as quarantine centres and connecting with students through digital platforms.Eighty Kendriya Vidyalays have been assigned to various authorities so far for using them as quarantine centres.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">KVS Teachers are connecting with the students through digital platforms to deliver lectures and instructions. A total of 32 thousand 247 teachers are taking online classes which covers more than seven lakh students across the India.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">KVS has shared the schedule of lessons of the recorded and live programmes of National Institute of Open Schooling, NIOS for secondary and senior secondary classes from its Swayam Prabha Portal. The information has been disseminated to all the Vidyalayas to ensure wide publicity amongst teachers, students, and their parents.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Teachers have been advised to get in touch with students through various media, such as e-mail, Whatsapp, SMS to ensure the maximum participation of students. KVS has also nominated some teachers for live session conducted by NIOS at Swayam Prabha Portal to address the queries of the learners. These nominated teachers will prepare material and notes.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">KVS has given directions to all Vidyalayas throughout the country to undertake measures for mental well being of the students. In this regard, a dedicated e-mail for uiding and counseling has been established in all Vidyalayas across the country. Teachers have been identified for attending and addressing the problems of students.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">In all, 331 trained Counselors have been engaged on part-time contract basis. Till last Friday, queries from 2,393 students and 1,648 parents have been received which have been attended promptly.</span><br />
