After a prolonged slump in the international cargo momentum, the Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru has recorded a growth in freight movement.<br />'' <br />'' Between April and September the Bengaluru International airport processed 131,603 metric tonnes of freight.<br />'' <br />'' In September alone 32,449 metric tonnes cargo was processed showing a growth of point three percent against the same period last year.<br />'' <br />'' During September this year growth of 4.5 percent was recorded in international cargo, of which export cargo grew by 7.6 percent.<br />'' <br />'' The Bangalore airport has emerged as the leading cargo center for the pomegranate exports from India by processing 180,745 kgs of pomegranate from April to August this year.<br />'' <br />'' The Government of India's Vande Bharat Mission and Air Bubble programmes have enabled Bengaluru airport to connect with 22 international destinations.<br />'' <br />'' However, the domestic cargo showed a slower recovery at minus 5.2 percent which is lower than the same period in the previous year.<br />'' <br />'' <br />
