Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has said his government will implement equal-pay-for-equal-work principle for its contractual employees. His announcement came following the Supreme Court ruling that contractual employees are entitled to wages on par with permanent staff under the equal-pay-for-equal-work principle. <br/><br/>He described the judgment as landmark, saying he will immediately implement it and simultaneously expedite the process of their regularization. Meanwhile, City Labour Minister Gopal Rai has convened a meeting of all departments on 8th of next month to discuss implementation of equal-pay-equal-work. He has also directed officials to furnish suggestions for implementation.
