Keeping eye on law and order in Patiala House: SC

On JNU row, the Supreme court has said that it is keeping an eye on the law & order situation in Patiala House court and added that, everyone should be careful while giving statements.The court has agreed to hear the matter today at 2 pm. JNUSU president Kanhaiya Kumar, arrested on sedition charges, was allegedly beaten up by lawyers yesterday while he was being produced at Patiala House court. <br/><br/>Despite the Supreme Court's restrictions on who can be present in the court during his appearance, a group of lawyers assembled inside the complex shouting slogans. <br/><br/>The lawyers then allegedly went on to beat up a journalist and a student.Taking note of fresh violence at Patiala House, the apex court appointed a five-member team to assess the ground situation and report back to it.The team of senior lawyers will submit the report today.

Apex court has agreed to hear it tomorrow. Meanwhile, the SC-appointed panel of advocates today, submitted the report and pen drive containing mobile clip of their yesterday's visit to Patiala House court complex.
