Kaziranga national park to reopen for visitors today

The world heritage site Kaziranga national park will reopen for the visitors today after the annual monsoon closure. <br/><br/>Assam Forest minister Pramila Rani Brahma will attend the inaugural program at Kohora range of the park along with Water Resource minister Keshab Mahanta. <br/><br/>Pobitora wildlife sanctuary in Morigaon district will also reopen today. Forest minister Brahma said, Kaziranga national park authority will phase-wise start elephant and jeep safari in the park.<br/><br/>This year flood caused major infrastructure damages to the park. The world heritage site is one of the most important tourist hubs in the North East. Kaziranga has the largest population of the one horned Rhinos. The park has recorded an increasing number of tourists every year.
