In Assam, the Kaziranga National Park will reopen for tourists on 1st November after its annual monsoon closure. The park authorities are at present busy in renovation worksunder the project to construct more roads and bridges in the park.The world heritage site is one of the most important tourist hubs in Assam. Thousands of tourists, both domestic and foreign, visit the park every year. According to data, the park has recorded an increasing number of tourists every year. Last year, around 1 lakh 11 thousand foreign and domestic tourists visited the park. It has the largest population of the One Horned Indian Rhinoceros and is thas the largest population density of the Royal Bengal Tigers per 100 sq KM.Kaziranga is a World Heritage site along with the Manas National Park and is also known for other wildlife species such as the eastern swamp deer and wild asiatic water buffalo.
