Former Karnataka Minister Katta Subramanya Naidu has been granted bail by the Karnataka High Court on medical grounds today. He had appealed for bail to undergo treatment for cancer in London .Earlier his bail in the land denotification case was rejected by the Lokayuktha special court on October 17 but had permitted him to get treatment only within the country under strict surveillance. The High Court Judge B V Pinto allowed conditional bail of two months to Katta Subramanya Naidu today which can be extended by one more month, after relevant medical records are submitted to the court. He was also asked to furnish a bond of 50,000 rupees. Katta Naidu is accused of misusing his power as the Industries minister to allot and process 325 acres of land to the Itaska company.
