Indian shuttlers P.Kashyap and P.V.Sindhu have reached the pre-quarter finals of the Yonex Sunrise India Open Badminton tournament in New Delhi on Thursday. Kashyap beat Thailand's Boonsak Ponsana 15-21, 21-14, 22-20 in the men's section. P.V. Sindhu defeated Korea's Jee Hyun Sung in women's singles 21-17, 22-20. Ajay Jayaram however faced defeat at the hands of World No.1 Chong Wei Lee of Malaysia.Ace shuttler Saina Nehwal who provided glimpse of her repertoire by defeating Hong Kong's Pui Yin Yip in just 29 minutes yesterday, will clash with Korea's Yun Ju Wye in the pre-quarter finals later this evening. In women's doubles, Indian pair of Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponappa will clash with Indonesia's Vita Marisa and Nadya Melati.Neha Pandit has crashed out of the tournament after being defeated in the pre-quarter finals by Juan Gou of Singapore 13-21,10-21. In mixed doubles also, Indian pairs of Tarun Kona and Ashwini Ponappa faced defeat. In men's doubles too Indian duo of Manish Gupta and Gaurav Venkat lost their match.
