Parupalli Kashyap has entered the men's singles quarterfinals of the Indonesian Open Super Series badminton tournament. In Jakarta today, Kashyap posted an upset win over World No. 5, Son Wan Ho of Korea, 21-11, 21-14 in just 36 minutes. Kashyap will now take on top seed Chen Long in the last eight stage. However, Kidambi Srikanth bowed out of the Singles, after going down to lower-ranked Ginting Anthony of Indonesia in three games. In the women's singles, the second round match between Saina Nehwal and Chinse Taipei's Ya Ching Hsu is now under way. Saina was leading in the second game after clinching the first set at 21-13. Meanwhile, it was curtains for the Indians in the doubles events.
