Indian badminton star P. Kashyap defeated Vietnam's Nguyen Tien Minh in straight sets 21-9, 21-14 to enter the Pre- Quarter Finals. Kashyap dominated the match. He was in Group D and started off his Olympic campaign by defeating Belgium's Yuhan Tan on Saturday to progress to the next round. Meanwhile, Indian men's archery suffered a set back as Jayanta Talukdar lost in straight sets. His competitor, USA's Jacob Wukie outclassed Talukdar, winning the match 27-22, 29-28. Talukdar's campaign has now come to an end as he earlier bowed out from men's team archery event on Saturday.
