In the Kashmir valley, firing between two terrorists holed-up inside a residential house in Ahmadnagar area of Srinagar city and security forces resumed this morning after the ultras let go the house owner and his wife trapped with them.
A senior police officer said, security forces had asked the terrorists, who took refuge in the house yesterday evening, to surrender but they refused the offer. In the initial exchange of firing, one cop was injured.
The security forces tightened the cordon around the house while evacuating the civilians from the adjacent houses.
Although identity of the holed-up ultras could not be ascertained, police believe that the duo are affiliated to Lashkar-e-Toiba.
