In Jammu & Kashmir, the overall situation remains peaceful with no major untoward incident reported from any part of the Valley so far. <br/><br/>However, normal life remains completely paralysed across Kashmir on the 12th consecutive day. The curfew and restrictions are in force in view of prevailing law and order disturbances. The police and para military personnel have been deployed in strength to maintain law and order. <br/><br/>Today one person succumbed to his injuries after remaining in coma for about three days in Srinagar hospital. The 60 year old person had been critically injured in Khumriyal area of Lolab in north Kashmir's Kupwara district four days back. <br/><br/>With this, the civilian death toll including three women has risen to 42 since July 09 unrest. Besides, one Police man also died when protestors pushed a moving police vehicle into river Jhelum near Sangam in Anantnag district. <br/><br/>Meanwhile, the local newspapers did not hit the stands on 5th consecutive day . In today's review meeting the editors and publishers decided to resume their publications from tomorrow in view of government assurance. The State Government yesterday made it clear that there are no restrictions on printing, publishing and distribution of newspapers in Srinagar and Budgam districts. <br/><br/>The annual Amarnath Yatra is smoothly and safely in progress since July 2nd. A fresh batch of 1000 yatris left Jammu base Camp around 1130 hrs today amidst tight mobile security cover for twin base camps of Amarnath cave shrine in Kashmir. The yatra travels in a motor cavalcade during night on Jammu Srinagar National Highway towards Base Camps in Kashmir. <br/><br/>Till yesterday evening, over one lakh 82 thousand pilgrims had darshan of ice lingam at the Holy Amarnath Cave.
