The Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry has sent a legal notice to a private telecom company seeking immediate withdrawal of a controversial advertisement on Pashmina Shawls and payment of 400 crore Rupees as compensation.Earlier state Chief MinisterOmar Abdullah termed the advertisement as wrong and misleading.The notice has demanded that the company should immediately withdraw the advertisement and stop its telecast forthwith and publish and telecast apologies at prime time as many timesthis advertisement has been telecast.The KCCI has also sought 300 crore Rupees for loss of business and reputation and another Rs 100 crore Rupees for suffering pain and agony.
