<span style="color: #222222;">Union Minister of State for Education Dr. Subhash Sarkar has said that Kashi and Tamil Nadu are the symbols of diverse and rich cultural and spiritual heritage that India is known for, which is being celebrated under the Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat initiative.<br />'' <br />'' Addressing at the Kashi Tamil Sangamam at Banaras Hindu University in Varanasi on Friday,  the Minister highlighted the fact how the country has a long, rich and prosperous history of diverse traditions and institutions of knowledge, which made her the center of learning since ancient times. He suggested a creative way to people of Kashi and Tamil Nadu to connect with each other and strengthen their bonds. Mr. Sarkar said, Kashi Tamil Sangamam is not only celebrating the various aspects of the historical, civilisational, and cultural connection between the North and the South of the country but whole India.<br />''                                                                    <br />'' More than 1200 delegates from Tamilnadu have participated in the one month-long event Kashi – Tamil sangamam started on 17th of this month at Varanasi. The sangamam is being organized by the Government of India as a part of "Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav" and to uphold the Spirit of "Ek Bharat Shreshta Bharat".<br />'' <br />''The objective of sangamam is to rediscover, reaffirm and celebrate the age-old links between Tamil Nadu and Kashi – two of the country's most important and ancient seats of learning.  More than 2500 delegates of 12 different categories from Tamil Nadu are visiting Kashi in 8 different batches during the one-month-long event.</span><br />
