Lone surviving terrorist of 26/11 attack Ajmal Kasab’s plea of meeting his lawyers privately was today rejected by Bombay High Court citing security reasons. Kasab’s plea was rejected by the court looking into the past records and his aggressive attitude towards the jail staff. However, the court ordered that the policemen connected with the investigation will not remain during the interactions. Kasab’s lawyer Farhana Shah had filed an application in the court on September 20 praying that a directive should be issued to the state allowing her to meet and interview Kasab within the sight of police but not hearing. Special public prosecutor Ujwal Nikam had informed the High Court that after the September 1 assault, Kasab's movements were closely monitored through security cameras and that an officer is within four feet of the terrorist at all times.
