Afghan President Hamid Karzai arrived in Pakistan capital Islamabad today. During his visit, President Karzai will hold meetings with President Asif Zardari, Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani and other leaders on issues of bilateral importance including political, security and economic cooperation. The President is being accompanied by a high level delegation which includes Foreign Minister Dr. Rasoul, Defense Minister Wardak and National Security Advisor Dr. Spanta. Since this is Karzai's first visit after the death of terror leader Osama bin Laden, it assumes greater significance in the new context. Among other things, the issue of war against terror may be an important issue in his talks with Pakistan leaders.
