Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi has thanked Union Minister for Agriculture Sharad Pawar deferring the introduction of the draft Marine fisheries (Regulation and Management Act) 2009. In a letter to Mr. Pawar today, Mr. Karunanidhi appreciated the consensus approach of the Government before finalizing the Bill. The Chief Minister also expressed his thanks to the Union Government on behalf of the fisherfolk of Tamil Nadu for having taken a timely decision taking into account the problems of the fishermen of the Country.<br/>
