Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Karunanidhi has called for ending soon the misery of war displaced Tamils living in camps in Sri Lanka. He said the Sri Lankan government must be urged to start the political process without further delay.He asked UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi to impress upon the Centre to urge Sri Lanka to act fast. He met her briefly at the Air Port in Chennai, while she was on her way to Puducherry.Referring to the recent visit of Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao to Sri Lanka, Karunanidhi said she herself had put the number of Tamils in camps at 30,000. The figure could be more.
