Tamil Nadu Chief Ministe Mr M.Karunanidhi led the state in paying tributes to Rationalist leader Periyar on his 132nd birthday. Mr Karunanidhi and his ministerial colleagues paid floral tributes to the portrait of the late leader, kept below the Periyar statue on Anna Salai. Aiadmk Presidium Chairman Mr Madhusoodanan, MDMK, general secretary Mr Vaiko were among leaders of various political parties who paid floral tributes to Periyar statue in Chennai. Dravida Kazhagam President Mr K.Veermani placed a wreath at the Memorial in Periyar Thidal.
