In Tamilnadu, DMK President and the former Chief Minister Mr. M. Karunanidhi has demanded an all party meeting by the State Government on the Mullaperiyar issue. Speaking to newspersons after the Party’s executive Committee meeting, the DMK Chief said that he was not satisfied with the Centre’s response on the issue.The executive committee of the Party has decided to hold a hunger protest all over Tamil Nadu on the 12th of this month. The protests will be to impress upon the Centre to implement the Supreme Court Order.The State Government has stepped up security as a preventive measure across the borders and also to the commercial establishments of Keralites.
