Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Mr. M. Karunanidhi today called for translating Tamil literary treasurers into various Indian and other world languages. Inaugurating a seminar, as part on the ongoing world classical Tamil conference in Coimbatore this morning, he said books and documents on tamilology available in any part of the world should be converted into electronic format and arrangements should be made to provide universal access to them.<br/>Seeking to give a direction to the conference, Mr. karunanidhi said papers presented and ideas put forth should induce people to think from new angles and urged scholars to present thoughts and findings that have evolved consensually.<br/>The chief minister wanted Tamil scholars to evolve ways to chart Tamils growth in sync with the needs of the 21st century to establish it as a vibrant language.<br/>
