Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy said that the yeoman service rendered by late K. Karunakaran to the state and Congress party will be ever remembered.He was inaugurating the first death anniversary function of the former Chief Minister of Kerala in Thiruvananthapuram.Mr. Chandy also laid the foundation stone for erecting the statue of K. Karunakaran in the capital. He said that the Thrishur town hall will be named after K. Karunakaran.All religion prayers, blood donation camps and seminars were also part of the state wide function of the first death anniversary of K. Karunakaran
