<span style="color: #222222;">Popularly known as Samanvaya Kavi or the poet of reconciliation, Nadoja Channaveera Kanavi breathed his last in Dharwad in North Karnataka today. He was 93. The veteran poet was admitted to hospital on January 14 due to respiratory problems after recovering from Covid 19 symptoms. <br />''<br />''The end came today morning at 9.00 am. The Central Sahitya Akademi has honoured him with the Akademi award for his collection of poems Jeevadhwani in 1982. He is also honoured with the Karnataka Sahitya Akademi Award, Karnataka Rajyotsava Award, Pampa Award and Nadoja honorary D.Litt by Hampi Kannada University. Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has expressed profound grief at the demise of renowned litterateur. His condolence message says that the Kannada literary world has suffered a huge loss due to the death of Kanavi.</span><br />
