<span style="color: #222222;">In Karnataka, a vision group on Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) has submitted a report to State's Large and Small Scale Industries Minister Jagadish Shettar to set up a FMCG cluster in Dharwad. Disclosing this at a press conference in Bengaluru yesterday, the Minister said the vision group appointed by his department has submitted the report on the possibilities of attracting an investment of 25,000 crore rupees for the FMCG hub and generating direct employment for five lakh persons by 2025. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Minister noted that Hubli-Dharwad is well suited for the FMCG sector due to its connectivity to consumer markets of Bengaluru, Belagavi, Hyderabad, Pune and Mumbai. The Vision Group Chairman K Ullas Kamath has said that FMCG cluster development will be proposed in three phases, with each phase comprising an investment of 2,500 crore rupees from 50 FMCG companies. Each phase is likely to generate 50,000 jobs. Karnataka is nearly a 250 billion US dollar economy and an attractive investment destination especially in machine tools, automobiles, electronics, aerospace, IT,BT and Defence sector.</span><br />
