In Karnataka, a trainer helicopter of Schweizer make made an emergency landing on an apartment block due to technical snag in Bangalore today. None of the residents living in the Maitri apartment block was injured in the incident. Both the pilots and the helicopter are also safe.The helicopter belongs to the Rotary Wing training Academy of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited. HAL Helicopter Complex Managing Director Sunder Rajan informed that an instructor and a trainee who were flying the training helicopter had to do an emergency landing after encountering an engine problem. Both instructor and the trainee escaped with minor injuries. They had been taken to HAL hospital.Police said the incident occurred under Biyappanahall police station limits, very close to the HAL facility. A rescue team and police rushed to the spot. Eyewitness said that there was a big sound and the residents of the apartment were shocked to learn thatthe copter landed on their building, just away from a road with heavy traffic and a high tension line.
