Karnataka will shut down all private resorts and guest houses located within the tiger reserves, as directed by the Supreme court. Forest Minister C P Yogeeshwar informed media persons yesterday that the state forest department will build new guest houses outside core area to provide accommodation for officials, their guests and wildlife lovers . The government guest houses within the core areas will, however, be used to conduct wildlife studies and research activity.
