Karnataka State Cong appeals CEO to set right electoral rolls

A delegation headed by Karnataka State Congress President G Parameshwar met the Chief Electoral Officer C S Suranjan in Bangalore on Tuesday with an appeal to set right the electoral rolls. In the petition submitted to the CEO, it is requested to set right the electoral roll in the three constituencies where the by-election will be held on April 9th. The Channapatna Congress candidate Raghunandan, who accompanied the delegation, alleged that his name and his family names are also deleted from the roll though he and the family members hold valid Election photo ID cards. He charged that deliberate attempt is made by the Government to systematically delete names from the electoral roll. G Parameshwar has requested the Commission to restore the names of voters who hold valid EPIC card.
