In Karnataka, after disqualification of 11 BJP and 5 independent MLAs by the Speaker for anti-party activities, the strength of the state Assembly has come down to 208. With this number, the ruling BJP party needs only 105 votes to sail through. With BJP's105 MLAs this number is achievable.Meanwhile, the dissidents have approached chief justice of Karnataka High Court to stay the ruling of the speaker and allow them to vote.The B S Yeddyurappa government after being reduced to minority due to withdrawal of support by some dissidents, will prove its majority on the floor of the house today.
